Une collection sérieuse

After years of waiting and constant search...
Finally completed the age puzzle of the early antique Martins, this is by far my proudest collection!

First row from right to left：
★1842 martin & coupa ivory pegs (One of the rarest early martin)
★1846 Colonel Wilkins (exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum of Art New York, the very first Standard X braces Martin)
★1850 2_1/2-34 ivory bridge
★1854 0-23 ivory pegs (the very Second 0 size Martin)

Second row from right to left：
★1859 2_1/2-40 ivory bridge (exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum in New York, known as “the root of the American guitar")
★1860 2_1/2-17
★1873 2-18 (very early brazilian 18 style Martin)

Third row from right to left：
★1877 2-40 ivory bridge & ivory pegs
★1884 1-28 ivory pegs (very early 28 style Martin)
★1895 1-26 ivory pegs

The above 10 Martins are all Adirondack tops, beautiful Brazilian rosewood backs and sides, each one is so easy to play, and has an unparalleled and incredible sound!

From the founding of Martin in New York in 1833, the official introduction of the first Martin guitar in 1834, until the end of the 19th century... Martin in every period is an innovation and witnesses history!

Luckily, I collected every Decade representative Martin guitar!
I know,
I'm still missing the most difficult to find 1830s' ancestor Martin,
There is one last mile left, and this journey still continues...

En même temps, ça me rassure, plus fou de parlors ("parlornuts" en anglais) que moi, ça existe !

Ma collec' perso à son apogée (qui fait presque pâle figure à côté, comme quoi tout est relatif !). Il ne me reste actuellement "que" ma 2-20 de 1875 (photo de dessous, qui aurait pu figurer dans cette incroyable collection) et ma 0-21 de1919.
